General Description of the property. Megalong Valley Farm is part of a tourist property based in the heart of the Blue Mountains. The Heritage Bush Farm is an area set aside to cover the farming practices as part of our Old Days Old Ways Educational programmes for children. We try to show the self sustainability processes that early farmers had to implement. |
What organic/biological methods do you use on your property? We adopt a policy that as much as possible all our waste needs to be recycled and we attempt make the farm integrate with our everyday living environment which encompasses a focus on permaculture , We are trying to grow as much organic product as practicable for our restaurant which features local produce cooked in a slow, woodfired methods. |
The sort of work to be done: In the Heritage Farm we have a large range of poultry and livestock such as pigs, sheep, cattle, goats, alpaca.
