Oldest daughter Maria. married
Philip Strickland in1811,at
St Matthews Church at Windsor, Her children to Phillip Strickland were
3 sons. Phillip died in 1816.
In the 6th October 1817 she again married
to Edward Field at Castlereagh. The Fields
were their best friends and neighbors. They had 5
daughters and two sons. Edward died in 1846
aged 49 and was buried at Castlereagh.

*Edward Field went on to be the
last Innkeeper at Rose Inn.

Maria died in 1829 and was buried at
Castlereagh aged 33. Pierce and Mary must have
been devasted as their eldest daughter had been
through so much with them. She left 10
grandchildren for them.
Edward went on to marry Ester
Lees on the 18th October
1830 and they had 6 more
children. The first being born
in 1833, 4 years after Marias
death. This time lapse at
lease gave the couple a chance
to cope with the children from
the Edwards first marriage
to Maria. Edward died at
Castlereagh on the 7th December
1846 aged 49 and his occupation
was given as Innkeeper living at
Castlereagh.

Maria, now aged 28 had married Phillip Stickland in
1811at St Matthews in Windsor, but Phillip died in 1811. On the
6th October 1817 Maria again was married to Edward Field.
in totla Maria had . Maria died in September 1829.
Sarah, now aged 27,had married John Watkins in 1816. Frances, aged 15
had married Thomas Pembroke in 1822. Sophia maried Thomas Rawsone

Second daughter who sailed out the Pierce and Mary was Sarah.
At the age of 19 she married John Watkins on 9th September 1816 at
the Castlereagh Church at Castlereagh. |

They had 3 children one son and two daughters.
John died
at Mount York on the 19th June 1844 Sarah
aged 39 , then married Michael Scott aged 35 on the
1st January 1846. Michael was Irish and a Roman
Catholic and lived at Coalpit Vale. Together they
had 9 children
Later in
her life Sarah moved and lived at Forbes and died on
18 May 1867 of pneumonia being aged 70 at Cadow",
Forbes. Michael died eight years later on 1 June
1875 aged 74 at Carrowobity.
Ironically the two daughters Ann and Elizabeth both
died a day apart in March 1863. of "colonial/bilious
fever"
Their

son Michael was 22 when he died in 1849 and was
buried at Hartley in the Roman Catholic section.
Next son
Joseph married Eliza Field at Mount York on 11th
August 1852. They also was living at Coalpit Vale
Hi died
on 3 September 1875 Broad Creek, Bogabagil, age
44.ofscrofulous disease of the kneejoints His
occupation was listed as carrier,
William
Scot was married on 16th June 1849 at Carcoar
to Ester Jones
Sarah was
listed as a Wesleyan Methodist and she was married
at St Berbnnards Church at Hartley to Pierce Field
carrier on the 22nd August 1859. She too moved out
to Forbes and she died Orange Road, near Forbes,
aged 82, old age and senile decay

Eldest son and the first child born in Sydney was John on the 8th
February 1803. at Castlereagh. John aged 19, married on the 28th
January in 1822 at the Castlereagh Church to Hannah Lees. Hannah was 19
at the time of the marriage
John died at his property Myall Park near Forbes aged 87 of senile
decay on the 2nd June 1886
Hannah died on 26th December 1874 at Back Creek near Cowra at
the age of 71, of Asthma
Hannah father John Lees was a devout Christian. He gave an acre
of land at Castlereagh to the Wesleyan Church, built a small chapel on
it .A new church at Castlereagh was built in 1847 and in 1921 Mary and
John Lees were re-interred at that site

Francis was the next to be born on 26 September 1804 at
Castlereagh. At the age of 18 she married Thomas Pembroke on the
25th July 1822 at the Castlereagh Church.
Francis died at 'Three Brothers" at Bathurst on 19th August 1869 a
the age of 68 of entertitis.
Children of 1st marriage Mary , Henry 30, Ellen 28 living; 4 males
deceased
She then married Charles Fell age
40on the 4th January 1841 at Mulgoa.
Children of 2nd marriage
Sarah was born at Regentville Estate", Mulgoa, and
baprised on the 10 Janaury 1841 at Mulgoa daughter of Charles &
Fanny Fell, "Regentville Estate", Coachman
Charles was born on 10th Octobver 1841 at Mount York Hartley and was
baptised on 17th Janaury 1843 at Bathurst. His fathers occupation at the
time was listed as Farmer at Mount York Hartley
Jospeh was born on 12th December 1842 at Hartley and Baptised at
Bathurst his father still listed as a Hartley Farmer.
Alfred was born on 16th December 1848 at Hartley and was
christened at Kelso on 25th March 1849

James was born 21st March 1806. They had him baptized on
24th June 1810 at Castlereagh . It was not until 6 August 1832 that
James decided it was time to get married. So Ellen Leech, became his
wife.
this was till he married Bridget Clifford. they had a duaghter
Caroline born in 1840
31st August 1840 Sophia Higgins became his third wife ,
the marriage taking place at Hassons walls.
James lived till 30th December 1880 at his property
Carrawobitty at Forbes where he dies aged 84 his occupation being
listed as "Squatter"

Joseph Collits was born on 17th March 1808 and was also baptised
on 24 June 1810. Jospeh did not get married till 21st July 1845 when he
married Mary Perry who was a widow, the marriage taking place at
Castlereagh. He was listed as living at Mt Victoria as
was Marys place of residence. Mary was born as Mary Ann Field on
the 14 March 1795 and was 13 years older than Josphe at their time of
the Marriage. Jospeh was 37 and Mary 50. Mary died Bogabigli, near
Forbes, age 71, of Diarrhoea on the 12 November 1865. The nexr ear
on 6th March 1866 he married Martha Sherringham at Mount Clarnece (near
Hartley). He was listed at a "grazier" of Lachlan River
there were no children from either marriage. |

Sophia was born on 16 January 1810 at Catlereagh, She went on to
marry Thomas Rawsthorne on 30 October 1826 at the age of 16.
She later married Thomas Morris on 19th March 1838 at Castlereagh
Thomas had been living at Vale of Clwydd
She died on 25th January 1868 at Billybong Forbes at the age of
58 from a fever that had lasted 6 weeks

Amelia Collits was born in Windsor on 27th September 1812
and baptised a month later on 25th October 1812 at St Mathews Windsor. She
married John Skeen on 29th June 1832 at the age of 20 a the Holy Trinity
Anglican Church, Kelso,
She lived a long life and died on 8th October 1896
at Kanimbla aged 84 of senility and Buried 11/10/1896, Mount York,
near Mount Victoria
John Skeen died on 29th June 1873 at Mount York

Willam Collits was the last born child of Pierce and Mary. Born at
Castlereagh on the 13th June 1815 and baptised on 25 February 1816. on
the 1st August 1842 he married Caroline James at Penrith. Caroline was
murdered on the Mt Victoria pass after a drinking outing.
He then married Mary Ann Quinn on the 1st August 1842 at Penrith .
They had one child
William died at Bogabigal near Forbes and was buried on
the 28th December 1867aged 53 of consumption of 9 months duration.
