A great historical pioneer farm visit in Blue Mountains World Heritage Region.  Follow the same route as the first pioneers up the Gt Western Highway to Megalong Valley Heritage Farm, the oldest farming valley in the Blue Mountains. You can spend about a half an hour visiting the old pioneers bush farm.  Following that, you can take a short leisurely stroll through this unique farm with a chance of seeing native flora and fauna and farming animals. On the way you get to see the magnificent cliffs of the Blue Mountains as close as you will ever get, then have a go at boomerang throwing.  Through to the pioneers barn museum and homestead and relax a while on the veranda while soaking up the atmosphere. From there, you have your lunch break at the Outback Pub Steakhouse at the Australian Heritage Centre with a great BBQ lunch. The traditional stockman’s camp includes a half-hour show from a Stockman who demonstrates the art of whip cracking and more. Visitors come face to face with Australiana at its best, with horses, cattle, sheep and Australian dogs. The Stockman’s Centre is available in wet weather.
